Investigation & Diagnosis
I reviewed the blog-to-email workflow and discovered that the issue was not caused by the email platform itself, but by the website’s RSS feed structure. By default, WordPress does not include featured images in RSS feeds, which explained why emails were missing visual content after the rebuild.
Solution
Rather than attempting a custom workaround, I evaluated existing solutions and implemented a plugin designed to enhance RSS output to include featured images.
I then reconfigured the email automation within Mailchimp, ensuring the updated RSS feed was correctly pulled and formatted for campaign delivery.
Outcome
Once implemented, blog emails were restored to a professional format with featured images included, significantly improving visual consistency and subscriber experience. Automated email delivery continued without further issues.
